Integration of Ukrainian jobseekers

For a year now, they have introduced a special section and directions for vacancies on the job and advertisement portal cv.lv, which are suitable not only for local employees, but also for job seekers from Ukraine. Employers are informed about this possibility and make their own choice regarding the specific vacancy.
In order to do this more effectively, they provide tips to employers that should be taken into account if they want to address job seekers from Ukraine as well. These positions are also specifically advertised to Ukrainian workers, both online and in cooperation with organizations that offer assistance to Ukrainian refugees.

In addition to that, they have created a Telegram account where communicate with Ukrainian workers in English and Ukrainian, they talk about current job offers, the labor market situation in Latvia, and other valuable and useful information while in Latvia, as well as about various leisure opportunities, for example, for Ukrainian workers , who have already arrived in Latvia.
In order to be more useful to both Latvian employers and Ukrainian employees, they also conduct regular surveys and interviews to clarify the current situation.

Experiences and challenges of integration

This has been an experience in which, as an organization, we have helped Ukrainian refugees to find a job, and local Latvian entrepreneurs to attract additional employees. Helpful was the Latvian companies’ interest and responsiveness to involve Ukrainian refugees in their organizations, also a large circle of organization contacts has been helpful in quickly and efficiently communicating and changing with actualities and information.
