Eurochambres is the biggest association of European chambers of commerce in Europe. Its voice as an advocate of business community is well-heard in the most influential actors on the EU political and economic stage. A visit paid by the leadership of this institution to the Ukraine in the time of most crucial and difficult moment is a huge and impactful factor in support of Ukraine and its people.

Eurochambres President Vladimír Dlouhý, CEO Ben Butters, and their delegation visited Kyiv on 20-21 July 2023. Their mission reinforced European business support for Ukrainian chambers, entrepreneurs, and government officials. Discussions focused on how the European chamber network could assist Ukrainian businesses in maintaining commercial opportunities and address key factors for the country’s reconstruction.
The ongoing war in Ukraine highlighted the need for Europe to enhance supply chain security and address strategic vulnerabilities. President Dlouhý urged EU businesses to strengthen trade relations with Ukrainian counterparts, emphasizing the importance of economic cooperation for both current support and future recovery.
During the visit, the delegation met with Ukrainian officials, including those from the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Infrastructure, and the President’s Office, as well as with representatives from the Ukrainian chamber network and broader business community. These meetings aimed to discuss strategies for supporting Ukraine and dealing with future threats to Europe’s stability and prosperity.
Since the war began, the chamber network has provided advice and assistance to companies in the region and has been in close contact with the Ukrainian Chamber to offer support.
