The Ocalenie Foundation is an organization engaged in numerous forms of support that are of significant social importance. Among the foundation’s notable activities are not only direct efforts to provide high-quality material assistance to those in need from refugee communities but also the organization of various forms of psychological, legal, and language support. This is an outstanding example of best practices in the area of refugee support in Poland.
Description
The Ocalenie Foundation supports people with migration and refugee experiences in building a new life in Poland. Since 2000, the Foundation has been working towards intercultural dialogue and building an open society, striving to ensure that every person can live with dignity and have their rights respected.
The Foundation assists foreigners by running the Center for Foreigners in Warsaw, Łódź, and Łomża, a children’s club for refugee children in Łomża, providing free Polish language lessons, conducting adaptation and integration programs, and helping find rooms and apartments.
The Foundation educates society through workshops on refugees, anti-discrimination, and integration, engaging volunteers, organizing integration events, and participating in public debates. The Foundation collaborates with schools, universities, public institutions, companies, and international organizations.
